I'd rather wait at home alone than pick up the phone...

I am in such a good place
A place where I am comfortable in my own skin
I remember the days when I had to always be somewhere
...Doing something

I needed to have a man in my life to validate me
Because my own validation was not nearly enough
Thank you God
For delivering me from that place

I can sit at home on a Saturday night
And send all my calls to voice mail
Because painting my nails alone
Is so much better than picking up the phone
To talk to Mr. Wrong

This poet speaks the truth I am living...

The Sins of the Father...

I want every man with a daughter to look in the mirror tonight and ask …"Would I want my daughter to date a man like me?"  Then I want him to look at his reflection and ask …"Do I want my daughter's boyfriend or husband to treat her the way I treat women?"

Remember… Sins of the Father …" I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation …."

Makes you think huh??

Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful...

Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful
Will you still love me when I got nothing but my aching soul
I know you will, I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful

“Young and Beautiful” – Lana Del Ray

“A happily married man is one who understands every word that his wife didn’t say.”

DO YOU KNOW YOUR OWN WORTH?

"YOUR WORTH"...
Have you ever noticed that Rolls Royce and Bentley don't have commercials?
They know the value of their product and it brings customers to them.
When you know your value, you don't have to advertise to get someone.
You don't need to beg them to spend time with you, or even to love you.
So if you're alone right now, just understand that many may not be able to afford the luxury of your love.

Men & Abstinence

I posted a question on Facebook today and it's getting lots of varied comments.  One man's answer bears repeating and deserves to be shared...

QUESTION:
Many women are concerned there aren't any men who truly believe in abstinence until marriage. I know there are some righteous men out there...so where are you?

ONE MAN’S ANSWER:
“I’ve been around the block several times, been married and divorced more than once. I had to realize there were things in my life that needed change. My attitude toward myself was one of those things. I had to come to the realization that what I have to give (sexually) is a gift that should be reserved for one woman. It's not something I should pass around to the masses. I had to take a close look at my direction and what God has ordained for my life.

God will forgive me [for fornicating], there is no question about that. But, why should I push the envelope? I would rather work hard to please Him, than to play hard and consistently ask for His forgiveness in the same area over and over again.

Gentlemen it's a choice. A choice for anyone who  decides to pursue excellence in Christ. I don't condemn anyone for choosing otherwise, it's just where I am. Not to say I am any better than anyone else. It's a choice I've made and I am very comfortable with it.”
